Terms of Service
Last updated 22 September 2026
These are the rules for using Punchy. They cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you. By making an account you agree to them.
Who we are
Punchy is an independent product run by a solo founder. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Punchy. "You" means the person or company using it.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give us a real email address and keep it current. We use it to sign you in.
- Your account is yours. Do not share it or let someone else use it.
- Tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
What Punchy does
You give Punchy a product URL. We read the page, work out your brand, and write short form posts from it. You review them in the deck, approve the ones you like, and download them.
Punchy makes the posts. It does not publish them. You decide what goes up, where, and when.
The URL you give us
Only give us a URL you own or have permission to use. When you enter one, you are telling us you have the right to build marketing from that site.
Do not point Punchy at a competitor's site to copy their brand. Do not point it at private pages or anything behind a login.
Your content
Everything you upload stays yours. Your brand, your footage, your logo, your product. We do not claim any of it.
You give us permission to store your content and process it so we can run the service. That includes sending parts of it to our AI providers to write your copy. This permission ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You must have the rights to what you upload. Do not upload anything that belongs to someone else unless you are allowed to use it.
The posts Punchy makes
The posts Punchy writes for you are yours to use. Post them, edit them, put them behind an ad. We do not take a cut and we do not need a credit.
Two things to know. AI writes the copy, so similar prompts can produce similar results for other users. We cannot promise a post is unique. And AI gets things wrong, so check every claim before you publish. If a post says something untrue about your product, that is on you once you post it.
Stock media
Punchy includes a library of stock photos, clips, green screens and audio from providers such as Unsplash and Pexels. You can use these in your posts. You cannot pull them out of Punchy and resell them on their own.
The library belongs to us and our providers, not to your account. It may change as we add and remove material.
Plans and limits
Punchy has two plans.
- Free. 10 posts a month, one product demo, a taste of the inspiration library and 500 MB of library storage.
- Pro. $39 a month. Unlimited posts, unlimited product demos, the full inspiration library, unlimited storage and a sharper model.
The monthly count resets on the 1st. It counts posts you approve, not posts you skip. Free also writes up to 30 posts a day for you to choose from, and that count resets at midnight. Editing or re-rendering a post you already have counts against neither.
Unlimited means what it says, within reason. If one account uses the service so heavily that it affects everyone else, we will get in touch before we do anything about it.
Billing
- Pro is billed monthly in advance through Stripe.
- Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from your account page. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not give refunds for part of a month, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
- Prices can change. We will tell you at least 30 days before it affects you.
- If a payment fails, we may pause Pro until it goes through.
If you drop from Pro to Free and you are over the Free storage limit, we will not delete anything. Your files stay and stay readable. You just cannot upload again until you are back under the limit.
What you cannot do
Do not use Punchy to make or do any of the following.
- Anything illegal, or anything that breaks the rules of the platform you post to.
- Content that harasses, threatens or impersonates someone.
- Scams, fake claims about a product, or misleading health or money advice.
- Content that infringes someone else’s copyright or trademark.
- Adult content, or anything involving minors.
Do not attack the service itself. That means no scraping, no reselling access, no working around plan limits, no reverse engineering, and nothing that puts unreasonable load on our servers.
Availability
We want Punchy up all the time, but we cannot promise it. Things break, providers go down, and sometimes we take the service offline to work on it. We do not promise any particular uptime.
We may change features, add them, or remove them. If we remove something you rely on, we will give you notice where we reasonably can.
Ending your account
You can close your account whenever you like. Ask us and we will delete it along with your data.
We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If the break is minor, we will warn you first. If it is serious, such as illegal content or an attack on the service, we may act straight away.
Liability
Punchy is provided as it is. We do not promise that it will fit your purpose, that the posts will perform, or that the output will be free of errors.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost data, or indirect losses. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death, personal injury or fraud.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Punchy changes. The date at the top tells you when we last did. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app. Carrying on with the service after that means you accept the new terms.
General
If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
These terms are the whole agreement between us about Punchy.
